About Us

CEO/Founder:
SDS was founded by Reginald Gillis, a former U.S. Army Strategist, Planner, and Aviator. His extensive network in the U.S. federal government led to the formation of SDS at the recommendation of numerous Senior Executive Service and General/Flag officers during the later part of nearly 27 years of federal service. His final military position as Chief of Plans, Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate of U.S. Central Command led to countless exchanges with the most senior officials of U.S. and international governments during the strategic planning for 19 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia, including operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has extensive experience in the Washington, DC area at the highest levels of federal government: Pentagon - Office of the Secretary of Defense; White House - National Security Council; Department of State; and Congress. While in the military, he specialized in European affairs and NATO. He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with multiple combat tours as an attack helicopter pilot and strategic planner, and a graduate of the United States Military Academy (BS General Engineering), University of Dayton (MS Engineering Management), and National Defense University (MS National Security Strategy).

President:
Reginald R. Gillis II serves as President of SDS. He has extensive experience in testing, collection processes, and evaluation of security equipment for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. His accomplishments are most notable for increasing business efficiencies in the government and private sectors. As the President of SDS, he has implemented an effective organizational infrastructure to ensure strong management of the Company while promoting high efficiency in the handling of client accounts. In addition, he has been responsible for locating and recruiting several highly-qualified consultants for SDS, helping the Company to reach its goal for expansion in 2009. He also is the figure-head of SDS' business operations in Washington, DC. He is a graduate of George Mason University (BA Psychology)and is a candidate at Liberty University (MS Management).

Vice President:
Michael D. Gayle serves as the Vice President of SDS, and spearheads business development in the national capital region. He is a former Army Aquisition Corps Officer, Aviator, and Program Manager. He is a Six Sigma, DOD Program Management Level 3 certified, with extensive experience as a contract level Program Manager for multiple large defense companies. He is a graduate of Webster University (MA Procurement and Aquisition Management) and United States Military Academy (BS General Engineering).
